'A Fall From Grace' (2023) Is a four look collection, constructed from the techniques i learnt while completing work experience at Vince Meat, a local lingerie and loungewear brand.

Moving to Christchurch to complete my fashion degree, the devastating effects of the 2011 earthquakes are still very apparent, even a decade later. On my walk to class each morning, i pass many churches, memorials and remains of historical buildings. I often wondered what the Christchurch Cathedral, as well as the other heritage buildings looked like before disaster.

This collection is inspired by the beauty of the last Christchurch Heritage buildings, constructed from silk and lace to maintain a divine, romantic feel. I wanted the collection to tell a story and look like the inside of a fairytale book while embracing the local buildings that inspired me. The 'Rose Historic Chapel', in which these photos are taken, took two years and forty specialist contractors to restore post-quakes.
